Contest: Win Bastion or Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade is over, and this year had some truly great games. Two of these phenomenal titles were Bastion and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, which received a 9.5 and 9 score, respectively. In case you missed the opportunity to play these games when they released, Vivid Gamer is going to give you the chance to win a code for each. Entering is simple: just leave a comment with your favorite Summer of Arcade title (from this year, or a past year), and why it’s your favorite.
How To Enter
- Leave a comment below stating your favorite Summer of Arcade title from this year or a past year.
- Bonus Entry: Follow us on Twitter and retweet the contest.
- Bonus Entry: Like our Facebook page, and like the contest.
- Bonus Entry: Retweet one (or all) of our Summer of Arcade Reviews: Bastion, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, or Toy Soldiers.
The only requirement is the first step; doing the others will increase your chances of winning (think of it as buying several tickets to a raffle).
We will pick the winners at random by drawing names, with two possible winners. One person will win the code for Bastion, the other for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

- You must have a US XBL Account in order to enter (as codes are region-locked).
- You must be at least 13 years of age to enter.
- You must use a REAL email in your comment so we can contact you if you win.
- Please: each person can only enter once – if we discover you are using multiple emails to enter, you will be disqualified.
- Following Vivid Gamer on Twitter or Liking Vivid Gamer on Facebook are not required to enter, and those who already do won’t be penalized: let us know in your comment if you already like/follow us!
- Contest ends August 31, 2011 at 6PM PST. All emails with entries must be received by this time; any entries received after this time will not be eligible.
- One code will be awarded per winner, at random.

The only 2 games i have played from SoA this year, are Fruit Ninja Kinect and the demo for Bastion.
FNK was pretty AMAZING, but I loved the demo for Bastion and would to love to get my hands on it sometime!

I liked bastion and toy soldiers myself. Toy soldiers is probably my fav right now but that’s because I haven’t bought bastion yet.

I loved the demo of Bastion, but I think Toy Soldiers Cold War is my favourite.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet would have to be my all time Fav. of this year! :D THIS GAME IS SOOO FUN & ADDICTING! Graphics are really nice with awesome colors. I don’t remember playing a multiplayer game that made me shriek, laugh, bounce, & kick all in one game. LOL.

The game I had the most fun with was Limbo. Though a REAAALY short game, and censored, AND overpriced, it was definetly one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Great game for not having any dialogue story at all.

I read the review and saw gameplay of Bastion. That seems to be my favorite so far. I hope to get that game

Trials HD is definitely my favorite because it’s the first time such a platformer existed on the console. Just something about making the motorcycle physics work out is fun.
Going to have to say ‘Splosion Man. The ’08 and ’09 lineups make it a tough choice though.

My favorite Summer of Arcade game thus far would have to be last year’s Monday Night Combat.
Limbo has stuck with me so firmly since last year. That’s my measuring stick for XBLA games.
I think Bastion was great, judging from the demo I played at PAX. Would love to win it.
My favorite Summer of Arcade game is Castle Crashers. The artwork by Dan Paladin is awesome and Behemoth are great developers. They just recently released a new update with Avatar Awards and the Pink Knight.

Castle Crashers was my favorite summer of arcade release. That game is so epic.
As a huge Castlevania fan Shadow Complex is easily my favorite SoA game of all time! That’s also the reason I’m giving EPIC a massive stink eye, since they made do CHAIR that stupid iPhone Unreal Engine tech demo Infinity Blade instead of an awesome Shadow Complex sequel.
