Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to Release in the U.S. on Nov. 20

With all the excitement surrounding Nintendo’s Wii successor (Wii U) it’s easy to forget about upcoming games that will be released at the end of the year; however Skyward Sword is one game Wii owners need to keep an eye on this fall. It has taken far too long but we are finally getting a proper Legend of Zelda game built from the ground up for the Wii and we now know when to expect the title here in the States.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will release in the U.S. November 20. This is the first Zelda game to be built from the ground up to utilize the Wii’s full potential and motion controls. It should be noted that to take make full use of the game’s motion controls you will need a Wii remote with the MotionPlus built in or you will need the MotionPlus accessory.

“The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the biggest game in the series yet,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We’ve just scratched the surface of this massive experience, and we look forward to sharing additional details with fans as we approach the Nov. 20 launch.”

There might be a shortage of games coming out for the Wii but the upcoming Zelda title looks to be one Wii owners can look forward to.
