Resistance 3 Has Gone Gold

Resistance 3 Has Gone Gold

James Stevenson, Senior Community Manager at Insomniac Games, posted on the PlayStation Blog today that Resistance 3 has been completed, or “gone gold.”  In the announcement, Stevenson said, “Everyone here at Insomniac is excited for you to get your hands on the game we’ve been working so hard on for the last three years.”

However, he also went on to say that Insomniac is not finished with Resistance 3 and will continue to work on tweaks all the way up to launch.  Those who pop the game into their PlayStation 3 on day one SHOULD expect a patch of substantial size, however, that has become the usual for gamers today.

Information was also given about what would be on the final disc.  Resistance 3′s bonus content will include demos for Killzone 3, Infamous 2 and MotorStorm Apocalypse as well as trailers and developer videos for “UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, Starhawk, God of War: Origins, and SOCOM 4.”  Bonus content not relating to video games that will be included are music videos and movie trailers from Sony Music and Sony Pictures.

While the beta for Resistance 3 is currently live, the final product will be waiting on store shelves next month, September 6th, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.  Stay tuned to Vivid Gamer as we write our take on the beta over the next day or so.
