Cliffy B and Kojima Flip Off Fanboys; Doesn’t Matter What Console You Play
Fanboys will never go away. There will always be those gamers who will like one console over the other, who will like one game over another and will swear by those choices no matter what anyone says. But what it boils down to is their biased opinions don’t matter and even developers of AAA titles don’t care what those fanboys think, great games come out for all consoles and that’s just the truth.
Usually I don’t really agree with Cliff Bleszinski aka Cliffy B, director and designer of famous titles from Epic Games, but this time I can get on-board with what he is saying. Even though he makes a hugely successful platform exclusive title Gears of War, he can even get past the biased opinions to come out against fan boys. In a twitter post sent out today Cliffy B and Hideo Kojima, the famous game director of the Metal Gear franchise, took a great picture that came with an even better caption:
Kojima and I say “it doesn’t matter what console you have, great games are great games.”#suckitfanboys
Honestly I couldn’t have said it better myself. This won’t stop all the fanboys from writing articles like Gears of War 3 vs Uncharted 3 (two games which only have one thing in common, the fact that they are 3rd person shooters) but it’s nice to see some big time developers such as Kojima and Cliff Blezinski giving the finger to all the fanboys out there. Well done.

it matters when a game is being gimped. A crappy game like GeoW would be nice on any console but something like FF or MGS would need to be gimped due to space restraints of the shitty DVD9.
Man I can’t wait for this gen to end already so MS put a a blu-ray or something on their crappy box.
That’s true, It sucks for those fans to have to suffer with a version that was cut down to fit on the disc. But yeah if MS had a blu-ray player it wouldn’t matter, def can’t wait for that day.
I also think that there are too many people who just wont get another console because they think its not as good as their PS3 or 360, when really they are both great and if you can afford to have both I don’t see why any gamer would want to miss out on any exclusive title for either console.
Depends on how you look at it. If you were told you have so much space to fill you should have priorities. Thinking back on killzone 3 the game was 44 GB… However how much could be killed by lesser sound/graphics? It sure wasn’t long or really gave a ton. Limits suck but they also serve for excuses. Just because xiii went on the Xbox doesn’t mean 100% it would have been much or at all better either.
