Uncharted 3 Beta New Map and Co-Op Mode Coming July 10th

Uncharted 3 Beta New Map and Co-Op Mode Coming July 10th

Today Naughty Dog announced that over 1 million players have played the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta since it launched a few weeks ago. But they also wanted to remind all of us who are participating in the beta that it will be ending very shortly on July 14th and they will be updating the game this Sunday July 10th to include a brand new map titled Yemen.

With the multiplayer beta coming to end next Thursday you might want to invest some quality time playing all the game modes so you can cash in on some exclusive beta rewards that can be used in the final retail version. For those who don’t know what the rewards are and what the requirements are here is what you can get:

Goal 1:        Download the Beta

Reward 1:   Receive the exclusive UNCHARTED 3 PSN Beta Tester Avatar!

Goal 2:        Complete 10 matches in every mode of Competitive Multiplayer

Reward 2:   Receive the Exclusive Beta Decal Pack 1!

Goal 3:        Complete 5 matches in every mode of Cooperative Multiplayer

Reward 3:   Receive the Exclusive Beta Decal Pack 2!

Goal 4:        Complete 4 Treasure Sets

Reward 4:   Recieve the Treasure Hunter’s Starter Pack!

Goal 5:        Rank up to level 25 in the Beta

Reward 5:   Receive a handsome reward of in-game cash on day one!

I’m not a huge fan of the decal rewards but getting a few starter packs and some cash would be really helpful for the retail release, but hopefully it won’t give gamers who played the beta non-stop a huge advantage.

On July 10th Naughty Dog will release an update that will replace Chateau for the never before seen map Yemen. Along with the new map comes a new Co-Op Adventure mode which will replace Co-Op Hunter. Although Chateau is easily my favorite map I am excited to see what the new map and Co-Op mode will bring us. Be sure to check back with us for updated beta impressions and new videos of Yemen and Co-Op adventure. We’ll try to bring you new videos as soon as the map become available. For now head over to check out our Week 1 and Week 2 Beta Impressions and a few videos we posted as well.
