Sims Medieval Pirates & Nobles Coming August 30

Sims Medieval Pirates & Nobles Coming August 30

If you’re a fan of the Sims, you know that EA can never go long without releasing some sort of add-on content, whether it’s a stuff pack or a full-on expansion.  Apparently, the Sims Medieval will be no different, as EA revealed today at their Summer Showcase that Pirates & Nobles “adventure pack” will arrive on August 30.

The premise of the expansion is that two new factions have arrived: the pirates and nobles; each have their own characteristics and issues, and you will need to choose sides.  In addition, the game will feature three new major gameplay elements:

  1. Treasure hunting
  2. Parrots and Falcons
  3. Interrogation chairs

Treasure hunting is pretty self evident; you will get maps and special shovels and will be able to comb your kingdom for treasure, whether it’s new stuff to decorate with or even new power ups.  In terms of the birds, you will be able to get one (type depends on whether you’re a pirate or noble), name them, and train them; you can even send them to attack your enemies.  The interrogation chair was demoed in the video they showed, but they were very clear that it is not a torture device.  After all, we all know that no one tortures their Sims, right?

Regardless of how you play, you don’t have too much longer to wait, as the pack arrives for PC on August 30, and you can already pre-order it on Amazon.
