Japanese PSN Services Return July 6

Remember that Japanese PSN account you made to download that one demo that wasn’t released in the NA or EU PlayStation stores? Well, this Wednesday, July 6th, you’ll finally be able to access that account and download some free Japanese PSN titles like Echochrome or The Last Guy (in Japanese). Further services finally returning to Japanese PSN users include:

  • Full functionality of PlayStation Store
  • In-game commerce
  • Ability to redeem vouchers and codes
  • Full functionality of “Video On Demand powered by Qriocity” across all compatible devices
  • Full functionality on Media Go

Japanese user also get to download two PS3 games and two PSP titles from this list:

  • The Last Guy
  • LocoRoco!! BuuBuu Cocoreccho
  • Echochrome
  • Wipeout HD
  • Hustle Kings

PSP

  • Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2
  • Minna no Sukkiri
  • Patapon 2

  • LocoRoco Midnight Carnival

Of course, this also marks the restoration of all PlayStation Network services in all countries and regions that support it, with PS3 users everywhere finally being able to utilize their systems to the fullest. Welcome Back, Japan.
