FIFA 12 Gets Release Date; PC to be the Best Version?

Today EA Sports announced the official release date for FIFA 12 along with announcing that they have developed the new Player Impact Engine for PC. FIFA 12 is set to release on September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide features a new physics engine that was previously thought to not be included in the PC version of the game. Not only do we now learn that the PC will be getting the new engine but it could be the best platform to play FIFA 12.

“This is the moment all PC gamers have been waiting for, as they are finally going to fully experience the award-winning FIFA gameplay on their preferred platform,” said Kaz Makita, Executive Producer of FIFA 12. “PC fans are going to enjoy the highest quality gameplay, deepest game modes and truest graphics ever developed for the platform, including our new live service EA SPORTS Football Club.”

FIFA has a large following on PC especially in the UK so it is nice to see that EA Sports isn’t overlooking those gamers and is attempting to create a true PC version of FIFA 12 rather than simply porting the game over from the console versions. Some features were even scrapped from the PC version in previous years which have definitely caused a few PC fans to abandon the franchise. Hopefully this year’s title won’t disappoint PC gamers and will be the definitive version.
