Devil May Cry HD Collection Coming in November? (Updated)

The popularity of re-releasing classic titles and giving it an all new HD look has led to more and more titles receiving the HD overhaul. Now according to a Spanish online retailer xtralife.es there might be a Devil May Cry HD collection releasing in November. As reported by thevault.es, the retailer posted a listing for the game which has since been removed. Interestingly only a PS3 version was spotted.

The cover art which you can see above indicates that the Devil May Cray 10th Anniversary Collection will feature the first three titles: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition. The release date shown on the site was November 30th and was priced at € 39.99, which is the same price as previous HD collections released in Europe.  Though it listed on a European retailers site I’m sure we will be getting the same collection here in the States.

To be honest I’m not so sure I’d be excited to play these titles since my favorite was the original and the second one was a joke, but I’m sure there ware enough DMC fans out there to warrant a HD remastering. There has been no word from Capcom or Sony about the collection but I’m sure we will be hearing something soon, especially if it’s going to be released in November. Stay tuned for all the latest updates on this collection.

Update: Now according to a NeoGaf forum post Capcom’s Christian Svensson had this to say about the DMC Collection rumors “The murmurs about the DMC 1-3 HD collections were just rumors and speculation.” However the forum post also said this “They might have something planned for the 10th anniversary.” So maybe there will be some sort of a remake but maybe not in this collection form. Time will tell.
