EGMi Finally Available on iPad

EGMi Finally Available on iPad

After nearly a year of waiting, EGM subscribers can finally read the weekly digital magazine EGMi on their iPads.  EGMi has been available for almost a year as part of the print subscription, offering a unique digital magazine format with current coverage and unique content each week (non-subscribers could still access limited issues and content).  However, because the technology relied on flash, it meant the tech guys at EGM had to figure out a creative solution in order to allow their readers to enjoy EGMi on the iPad.

Although a demo and sample of the tech was released months ago, it wasn’t until this week that the official full iPad app became available, allowing readers to access each weekly issue, along with the possibility of a future, enhanced digital version of the print magazine.

As someone who immediately subscribed when EGM came back from the dead, I’m very excited about this news.  One of the main reasons I bought an iPad was the prospect of enjoying magazine content such as EGMi, and the wait for this app has been terrible.  I’ve gotten so behind with EGMi because most of my leisure reading time is spent with my iPad, when I’m away from my computer.

It looks like right now you can access the material even if you aren’t a subscriber, so if you have an iPad, I highly recommend you give it a download here; it’s free.
