Internal Error Causing Xbox 360 Marketplace Issues

Internal Error Causing Xbox 360 Marketplace Issues

Some Xbox 360 gamers might be having issues connecting to the Xbox 360 Marketplace and the Indie Games channel, and it seems that an “internal error” is causing the spotty connections. Gamers reported the issue to Xbox Support Page who were already aware of the issue. Later reports from Major Nelson’s twitter account cited some sort of internal error.

Soon after the tweet a Microsoft representative had this to say to GameSpot:

“The Xbox Live Game Marketplace and the Games for Windows Marketplace are currently experiencing issues due to an internal operational error. This issue is impacting users’ ability to browse and purchase content from the Marketplace. We apologize for any inconvenience, and are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please stay tuned to this page for further updates”

I just checked the Marketplace on my 360 and it seems to be up and running so the issue might only be accessing the Marketplace from Xbox.com, so not that big of an issue as long as people can still get into the marketplace via their consoles and as long as XBL is running of course.

Stay tuned to this page for further updates on the situation.
