Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition On Its Way?

Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition On Its Way?

With The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on its way, it seems as if the folks at Bethesda are preparing a treat for fans who never had an opportunity to play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  Although yet to be officially confirmed, several online sites (including Amazon and Overstock) are listing the Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition for PC, 360, and PS3.

This special re-release of the game includes:

  • Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game Of The Year Edition.
  • Collector’s Edition Content (map, “Making Of” DVD with an added Skyrim trailer).
  • A $10 Off Coupon (redeemable at any retailer) for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The retail price for this package appears to be $30, which isn’t bad considering you get the extra content, plus a $10 coupon for the next game.  I know I’m anxious to see this rumor confirmed and plan on selling my copy of the game to replace it with this one, since I never did get a chance to play very far into it.

This deal would be even better if Bethesda would patch-in trophy support for PS3 copies (the 360 version has achievements), but I’m guessing that’s too much to hope for.

This package is expected to release June 28, while Skyrim releases November 11.
