Microsoft Working On Core AAA Shooter Experience For Kinect


Today, Microsoft revealed their new game studio (Zipline Studios) will be working on making titles for core audiences.  Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver’s Senior Artist Shawn Woods’ resume has listed that they are working on a core AAA shooter experience for the Kinect.  As of now there’s been no specifics, but this looks to be Microsoft’s attempt to show that motion gaming can be used for more then just family-friendly fodder.

Original team member in a new studio with a start-up mentality, hired a team of artists to create social microtransaction games. Over the course of the year, our studio strategy has changed and now focuses on developing a core AAA shooter experience using Kinect. Member of the MGS Creative Councel to promote job training to artists across all Microsoft Game Studios.

It will be interesting to learn more about this game once Microsoft is ready for an official announcement.
