Rumor: Wii Price Drops To $150 May 15
Engadget is reporting that a “trusted source” has suggested Nintendo hopes to combat flagging hardware sales by lowering the price of the Wii but yet another $50, bring the price down to $150 (from the original $250, and the current $200), making it the cheapest current generation console on the market.
While this information has yet to be confirmed, it makes sense, although the timing seems off: why not wait until E3 to make a price drop announcement? Either way, Vivid Gamer will be sure to keep you up-to-date if an official annoncement is made.
