Top 5 News Stories of the Week: March 21, 2011

There was a lot of good news this week. Whether your looking at what games you should get this year, to how you can help out with the earthquake in Japan, this week’s top five stories has something for everyone.

5. Five Games You Should Support in 2011 – James Damian


Our very own James Damian provides us with a list of top five games we should support in 2011. With games like Beyond Good & Evil HD (pictured above), I think this is a very good idea. Take a look at the rest of the list and see if there are any other games that could be on the list.

4. Ghost Recon: Forgotten Soldier? – Juan Balbuena


Announced two years ago at E3, it brought a lot of hype to the Ghost Recon series, but it has lost its lackluster. Will the game be defined by its absence or its arrival. Juan will let you know in his story about Ghost Recon: Forgotten Soldier.

3. Popcap iOS Sales Bring in $200,000 for Japan Relief – Elizabeth Burnette


With the tragic events in Japan still occurring, every little bit helps. Elizabeth posted about Popcap’s contribution to the Japanese relief fund. 2. Duke Nukem Forever Delayed – Juan Balbuena


Ahh the biggest joke in the video game industry, the release date of Duke Nukem Forever. Originally set for a May 3rd release, it has now been pushed back to June 14th. No one ever expected this game to come out, so a month wait isn’t so bad right?

1. Nintendo 3DS Launches This Week in North America/Europe – Destructoid.com


Ahh the top story of the week and possibly the year. The release of the Nintendo 3DS. It has now launched in Japan and Europe with the North American release coming this Sunday, March 27th. I have provided some links to a couple of reviews with the top review being from Destructoid. Nick Chester and Dale North talk about the different features they like and dislike about the system.
